Matt hails from Philadelphia and has lived in New York City since 2020.

Matt has a passion for mixology - when not working on a mixology project or in a cocktail bar setting - he’s teaching classes, reading, learning new techniques, building recipes at home, and learning from some of the world’s best cocktail bars and mixologists across the U.S., in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean.

Matt recently consulted on and led the opening of Michael Imperioli’s Scarlet Lounge in New York City after honing his craft creating cocktails at The Guthrie Inn, a speakeasy cocktail bar and at The Expat, a Southeast Asian cocktail bar both in Manhattan.

Matt is an industry veteran with an extensive hospitality background, from his early days at Smith & Wollensky, Chops and Chima to learning advanced mixology techniques from the James Beard Award winning Fork, apprenticing with expert mixologists from High Street Hospitality.

Matt founded Manhattan Mixology in 2022 with a mission to share his passion for mixology by creating exceptional mixology experiences, designing unique cocktails, teaching the art of mixology and helping businesses thrive with creative and cocktail consulting services.
